HOLY MAADA!! THE GODWIN OF CULTISM IN THE SLPP!!

The Paoparization of SLPP

History has shown that the most dangerous people are those that believe that they are the only ones that God speaks to and they are acting on Gods behalf. It’s a common theme in most cults. The cult leader is able to convince the group that he has been chosen by God for a divine mission which only he can achieve. Those outside the cult who do not believe their rubbish are said to be disobeying the will of God. In a country where opportunities for the youth are more or less non-existent causing them to be filled with despair, and longing for a change in their circumstances, what better way for charismatic rogue politicians to manipulate them than to make bogus claims that they are God’s messenger , sent to rescue and deliver them . That is precisely what Maada Bio and the architects of the Paopa cult have successfully been able to do.

According to the Paopa cult ideology, the main reason why Maada Bio should be the SLPP Flagbearer is because he is the divine anointed one that God has chosen. One cult member even went to the extent to boldly declare that after Jesus na Maada Bio. For members of the paopa cult, factors such as national appeal, job history, professional accomplishments, are all irrelevant in the selection of the SLPP Flagbearer. In fact even asking questions about how Maada Bio compares to other flagbearers in these categories is blasphemous and disobedience to God in the Paopa mindset.

They make no bones about telling non-paopas the punishment God will inflict upon them for daring to question His anointed or “Godwin” (the latest title he has been given) who has been sent to save them. “Una all way hate Maada Bio una all go die” one Paopa angrily responded yesterday when I brought up the issue of what has been Maadas serious work experience since his NPRC days.

For the Paopas, though they may call themselves SLPP, their real allegiance is not to SLPP but to their cult leader. Maada’s messianic role has been so successfully ingrained into them that to them SLPP & Maada Bio are one and the same thing. Hence their slogan of no Bio no SLPP. The non-Paopa and voices of reason within the party have stood by and let this fundamentalist cult ideology gain a foot hold within their party and if they think it will be easy to squelch let them ask those who are dealing with ISIS or Boko Haram.

Whilst the non-Paopas believe they are engaged in a political battle, the paopas believe they are fighting for all intents and purposes a“holy war” for “God’s chosen one”. With that mindset nothing is out of bounds to use in the fight. Not to be fear-mongering but from what I see, I suspect you now have youths that have been so paoparized about Bio’s divine mission that if the cult leader says to strap on a suicide bomb and go to Unity House to burn the whole thing down, they will.

I pity non-Paopa SLPP members because some are only now realizing what has befallen their party and how successful Bio has been in indoctrinate the Paopa ideology into the party particularly among the youth. The majority of the party executive seems to have only one purpose and that is making Julius Bio the chosen one of God SLPP Flagbearer by any means necessary.

Non-paopas have stood by and let this cult thinking go unchecked and now wata don pass gari and the cult leader is more or less running the Party with his photo adorning the front of the party headquarters to let everyone know who is in charge.

If the SLPP is serious about removing the APC and dismantling the Paopa cult that is the root of all the chaos, there is no other way but for the flagbearers to unite. If they do not and their separate ambition trumps what is best for SLPP, they will all lose with Bio emerging as the Flagbearer. The Paoparization of SLPP will continue unhindered leading to the death of the SLPP as we know it. When that happens who knows SLPP members may even be required to genuflect and cross themselves before the portrait of “ Maada Bio” and recite the Paopa creed “No Bio No SLPP” as one of the requirement to be considered a full-fledged SLPP member.
